Artists from many diverse backgrounds have made their homes in Bundeena-Maianbar. All have been influenced by unique environment of the villages and the surrounding Royal National Park.
Visitors to the increasingly popular Bundeena-Maianbar Art Trail will be well aware of the high quality of the work on display. Those who have yet to "do the trail" can sample the locals' work by visiting the Art of Living Festival Art Exhibition.
In 2009 the exhibition celebrates its 14th year, and again over 100 local artists have been invited to participate.
Award winning artists exhibiting this year include:
FEATURE ARTIST : MICHAEL WEEKES
“The first thing I could do well as a child was to draw. The First thing I liked that I could make a living from was to take photographs. I make art for me, pleasing others is too stressful. Making art is far more satisfying than seeing it on the wall. It’s just something I have to do.”- Michael Weekes

FEATURE EMERGING ARTIST : SIDNEY SHEN
It is not often that an Art Festival has the privilege of promoting an artist at the very beginning of their career.
Only daughter of artists Jia Wei Shen and Lan Wang, who are much respected in Bundeena for their enormous talent and contribution to artistic life, Sidney Shen is an art force “about to happen”
Still only 19 years old, and a student of the College of Fine Arts at the University of NSW, Sidney has a passion for creativity.
She is on the cusp of a possible distinguished art career, so it is timely that the AOLF introduces her work to the art world. By focusing attention on her recent and current practice, we believe that this exhibition may be a spring-board for her .
If you would like to exhibit . . .
